Dusk! We stopped at a Lake Placid Market to pick up snacks for Wolfgang's busy skating schedule the next day. Sun-gilded clouds wreathed the mountains to the west. I had to capture that image. Yet, what I found on my camera was not as beautiful as I remembered. With textures, I was able to bring that image back to life. Amazing what textures can do for an disappointing image.

Wolfgang skates five plus days a week in preparation for ice dance competitions. I work extra shifts in order to pay for it. That's the nature of being a skater's parent. So far, I can say it's been worth it -- seeing him grow in stamina, disciple, and confidence. Skating has improved his practice at the piano.
